LEARN TO SWIM

Ages 3 and over. Teacher / Pupil Ratio 1 : 5 (may vary slightly)

Our “learn to swim” classes are tailored for children aged from 3 years and older. These lessons are independent sessions, meaning that learners will enter the pool without parents or caregivers. The typical “Learn To Swim” lesson journey will start off in our shallow baby pool and gradually progress into deeper waters. As each swimmer grows in confidence, they will progress into deeper waters. Each step is guided by our coaches to support individual growth.

Rather than rigid age brackets, we prioritize individual ability, ensuring every child receives personalized attention and support for where they are at in their swimming journey. As soon as a budding swimmer outgrows their current level, we transition them to a more challenging class to help them reach their full potential.

Our vibrant equipment and toys foster a fun, exciting learning environment to help swimmers remain engaged throughout the lesson and alleviate any potential anxiety.

Join us and watch your child dive into this exciting journey, grow their confidence and learn this vital life skill.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Are The Classes?

Each lesson is approximately 30 minutes. Parents can choose between the flexible options of attending once or twice a week classes, taking into account availability and need.

How Long Will It Take For My Child To Learn To Swim?

All children are unique and are at different stages of their development. As such, there really is no easy answer to this question or to master the skill of swimming. Your child’s success lies in attending lessons on a consistent basis, fuelling their progress.

In the same way that progressing through milestones like rolling over, crawling, walking, and speaking at their own pace, swimming falls under this category as well.

How Often Does My Child Need Lessons?

We have either once or twice a week options available.

Frequency may be important, but consistency is king. At SplashLab we like to emphasize the importance of regular attendance, as it directly correlates to accelerated learning. The more immersed children are in the swimming enviroment, the quicker they acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for success. However, we firmly believe that even participating in classes once a week increases a child’s abilities compared to not participating at all.
